The One Thing You Can Do To Change Your Life
One thing to change your life??
I don’t have any revolutionary ideas, nothing you haven’t heard before.
This one basic concept is something we all have, but the difference comes from how we handle and care for it.
Basic is the concept, but complex is its power - which should be no surprise since taking control of it can change your life!
You probably also surmised that the failure to take charge of this one thing can also have serious consequences in your life...
What is this one thing that you can take charge of the turn your life around?
Your health.
As I said, there are no revolutionary ideas here, but we all need the reminder of just how important our health is. When our health is poor, we may feel aches and pains and suffer other internal and external symptoms that lead to low energy, low motivation, less than ideal attitudes, decreased productivity, and an overall lower quality of life than we would really desire.
We may feel unmotivated to cook when we are in this declined state of health and consequently we make poor nutritional choices. Our sleep suffers from a combination of all of these things - and more. Low energy keeps us at home, so our relationships suffer, and we just plain don't make time for anything enjoyable.
It's a vicious circle that keep perpetuating itself unless some intentional intervention is made.
Think about how you feel when your health is in good form. You have high energy levels, increased productivity, positive attitudes, happiness, and a feeling that our overall quality of life is pretty darn good! (Just reading this you probably felt better!)
When we feel healthy and well, we have the energy to exercise, we want to eat more nutritious foods and, as a result, can sleep more soundly and wake feeling more rested. Our relationships can stay more fulfilled since we are in better moods to grow those. Life is being lived as it should be - to the fullest!
Granted, we all have ups and downs, but when the downs transcend and become the norm in our lives, that’s when there is a problem. Last I checked, life is too short to be living anything less than your best life.
There are 1,000,001 ways to get started, but it all starts with one choice. What is one thing you can do today to help your health be better? Don’t be overwhelmed by the vastness of this concept, be inspired by the power you have to change your life.
